ADJUDICATION

First, second and third place medals will be awarded at the discretion of the adjudicator. A trophy will be awarded to first place medal winners if the adjudicator considers this to be appropriate. This trophy is kept by the winners. All adjudication reports will be given out to the entrants at the end of each class.

22. When adjudicators are assessing entries it is the performance on the day that matters, potential is not taken into account. The adjudicators use a marking system recommended by the committee. Marks are used to indicate the quality of performance and take into account all aspects of performance including difficulty of piece, posture, platform manners, technical ability and artistic merit. This is done to assist with recommendations for special trophies.

23. The adjudicator’s decision is final. No entrant, teacher or interested party may discuss any aspect of the Festival with an adjudicator before, during, or after classes except at the invitation of the adjudicator.

GALA CONCERT TROPHIES

They must remain in Gibraltar and anyone who lives outside Gibraltar may pose with their trophy, but may only take the smaller version with them and Allegro will engrave their name on the main trophy. These trophies must be returned to Gibfym before the following Festival, by the date specified on the form. Failure to return a trophy will result in the winner forfeiting the right to take away any future trophies that he/she is awarded at the Festival. In the event of a trophy not being returned, the parent/guardian of the holder will be invoiced accordingly.

25. It is the responsibility of the signatory to take care of the trophy whilst it is in their possession. If a trophy is lost whilst in the care of a holder, the Festival committee will hold that person responsible for it. Engraving is optional, but any engraving that is carried out must be of the same style and size to that of the first name and at the winner’s expense.
